Summary: This is a case study of the home care support provided to Mrs. Sharma, a resident of Sector 78, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Mrs. Sharma underwent knee replacement surgery. She was experiencing constant pain in her knees. Doctors suggested knee replacement as a remedial solution.
Mrs. Sharma’s daughter lives in Sector 78, Noida. She contacted us for home healthcare support. Her mother needs care in a 24 hour shift. Her mother, Mrs. Sharma (who is the patient in this case), underwent a small knee replacement procedure. Post the surgery, the doctor suggested the patient keep partial movement with the help of proper assistance. This is when she needs a trained caregiver or general duty attendant who can look after her.
We provided a trained female attendant to Mrs. Sharma for her care support (single attendant support). The attendant took up the responsibilities and helped Mrs. Sharma with:
- movements whether it be to get up and sit down on bed
- help Mrs. Sharma with her walk with the help of a walker
- take care of her daily bathing, toiletries and cleanliness needs
- take care of her medications and diet program
- offer a best companion ship to boost Mrs. Sharma moral and quick recovery
The recovery took around 2 – 3 months, and during this tenure, Mrs. Sharma and the caregiver formed a strong bond. Our staff manager continuously monitored the service and was in constant touch with Mrs. Sharma’s daughter and the caregiver to remove any possible roadblocks in the home care services. We received a huge round of applause from Mrs. Sharma and her family for the compassionate service provided. We were also glad to have this wonderful experience with Mrs. Sharma and the family during this journey.
